Before You Sound the Alarm
Before reporting a product issue, we recommend a little holiday detective work.
Many products that appear to have stopped working may simply have a minor issue that can be easily resolved.
Before contacting us, please check for common issues such as:
-
A blown fuse
-
Dead or depleted batteries
-
A loose bulb
-
A loose connection
-
A bulb that has permanently checked into the North Pole Retirement Village
Checking these simple items first may save you time and get your display glowing again faster than Rudolph finding a foggy runway.
If you've checked the basics and your product still isn't working properly, give us a call or send us an email. We'll be happy to help determine the next step.
Warranty Coverage

A description of the problem

-
Additional information about how the product was installed or used

If a warranty claim is approved, ProEx Lights will provide the applicable warranty remedy, which may include a replacement product or another remedy available under applicable law.

Seasonal Use & Warranty Coverage
90-Day Seasonal Use
Our seasonal products are designed to be displayed for up to 90 days per season.
The 90-day period describes the intended seasonal use of the products. It does not replace or reduce the 1-Year Warranty period.
After the decorating season is over, seasonal products should be removed and properly stored to help protect them from unnecessary wear, weather exposure, and damage.
While we admire your enthusiasm, seasonal products are not intended to celebrate Christmas in July, Halloween in February, Arbor Day in November, and every other holiday in between.
Continuous or year-round operation may result in excessive wear and tear and can void the warranty.
Even holiday decorations need an off-season.
Product Disclaimer
Our holiday lights, wreaths, garland, and seasonal décor may vary slightly in color, size, fullness, texture, and appearance from product photographs.
These variations may result from:
-
Lighting and photography conditions
-
Screen and monitor settings
-
Normal manufacturing variations
-
Natural variations in materials
-
Handling and shipping
These normal variations are not necessarily considered defects.
Lights
Holiday lighting products should be used only as directed and only in areas appropriate for the product's intended use.
Customers should inspect products before use and should not use any product that is damaged, frayed, cracked, compromised, or otherwise appears unsafe.
Holiday lighting and décor should not be left unattended while in use and should be turned off when leaving the property or going to sleep, unless the product is specifically designed and approved for unattended operation.
Customers are responsible for following all applicable manufacturer instructions, product warnings, electrical requirements, and recommended usage guidelines.
Products intended for indoor use should not be used outdoors, and products intended for outdoor use should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and applicable safety requirements.
Wreaths & Garland
Wreaths, garland, and other seasonal décor may require shaping, fluffing, or adjustment after shipping, handling, or storage.
Natural variations in fullness, texture, branch placement, color, and overall appearance are normal.
These variations are part of the nature of seasonal décor and are not necessarily considered product defects.
Customer Installation, Use & Storage
Customers are responsible for the proper installation, use, maintenance, removal, and storage of products purchased from ProEx Lights.
Customers are responsible for:
-
Following manufacturer instructions
-
Following product warnings and safety instructions
-
Using products only for their intended purpose
-
Inspecting products before use
-
Properly installing products
-

Where appropriate, professional installation by a qualified individual is recommended.
ProEx Lights is not responsible for damage, loss, or injury resulting from improper use, improper installation, modification, neglect, misuse, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not designed.
What the Warranty Doesn't Cover
As much as we'd love to cover every imaginable holiday disaster, our warranty does not apply to products or failures resulting from:
-
Vandalism
-
Accidents
-
Neglect
-
Abuse
-
Misuse
-
Improper installation
-
Improper storage
-
Acts of God
-
Use for unintended purposes
-
Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
-
Excessive or continuous year-round use
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Unauthorized repairs
-
Modifications or alterations to the product
Examples might include—but are certainly not limited to—angry squirrels, overconfident DIY engineering projects, impromptu wrestling matches, or attempts to convert a holiday decoration into something it was never meant to be.
Modifications Void the Warranty
Any unauthorized modification or alteration made to a product may void the warranty.
This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Adding wires
-
Removing wires
-
Altering electrical components
-
Changing connections
-
Replacing components with unauthorized parts
-
Altering the original configuration
-
Attempting unauthorized repairs
-
Otherwise modifying the product from its original condition
If you've added wires, altered components, "improved" the design, or uttered the phrase "trust me, I saw it on YouTube," warranty coverage no longer applies.
Warranty Does Not Cover Normal Wear & Tear
Holiday lighting and seasonal décor are exposed to handling, installation, weather, storage, and normal seasonal use.
The warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear or changes that naturally occur through normal use, handling, or aging.
Seasonal products should be properly removed and stored after each decorating season.
Refused Deliveries & Return-to-Sender Orders
Changed your mind after your order shipped?
Orders that are refused upon delivery or returned to ProEx Lights by the carrier as "Return to Sender" will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.
Any remaining refundable amount will be processed in accordance with our applicable Return Policy.
Additional shipping charges may apply where appropriate.
Much like fruitcake, once something has been shipped around the country and sent back, somebody has to deal with it.
Our warehouse team is happy to help. They just prefer not to do it twice.
If you no longer want an order that has already shipped, please contact us as soon as possible rather than refusing delivery.
